This summe Foucs on Youth meat a lot to m because one this was my first job, and i was amazing,i was in a camp where thechildern felt likethey where in power theirvoice was heard however they wanted their voce to be heard in a negative and the positive, however with he workshops at fopucs on youth i learn to teach childern that your voice can be heard however you just got to know whereyou stand withsome one older than you,and one thing they love the most was when i thought them diffrent ways of communication,an hat many people in this world do not communicate thy same way theyy do..and they love it...i am very thankful for foucs on youth, because of you guys i feel so good about my self and i can go to schol and say someone changed my life and then with that knowlege ii wa ableto chaged someones life..and i am happy..
thank you again..

I learned a lot from the kids. It's a lways a two-way learning, and being with them is one great experience that I would take away with me. I entered this job knowing that this is going to be memorable, and yes it truly is. Now, I understand kids a lot better and love them even more!!!

FOY Toronto rocks.:)

Focus on youth has been such a great experience. I had the opportunity to meet alot of nice people aswell as learn in a positive environment. I really hope that focus on youth is continued for many years to come because this would be a great opportunity for younger generations. I would like to thank everyone responsible for keeping Focus on Youth alive. We are truly on our way to a better future.

This was my first summer working with focus on youth. It was great and the kids were wonderful. While working with these kids i learned how to have more patience & how to communicate more with them. I also learned that they all have a very special quality that no one can take from them.I really had alot of fun playing sports & helping the kids when they needed the help.I had many fun times as well as bad times, but it was still great.I really hope that the kids had a great summer & that they continue to follow the right path. Its been fun.....

I know that its late, but better late than never! This was great, the kids, the people that we were placed with, everything was great! People dont realize that a program like this is very benificial in many different ways. Learning how to cope with students problems and differences, becoming more of a better leader, thats all it in a nut-shell. Alot of people think that working with kids is easy but trust me, at first its not. But in the end and getting used to it, it becomes very easy! For those looking for a summer job in 09' TDSB Focus On Youth is the job for them! All I can say is thanks you guys, you made my summer worth it! TDSB all the way! You know who it is! ,Darkness

FOY has given us a chance to see what we can offer back to our community and to reach our potential as workers. These jobs allow us to appreciate people we interact with such as children. The kids that I worked with at camp are intelligent human beings and they are full of joy and life!
We helped them so much but they helped us grow as individuals as well. Throughout the entire program starting from day 1 of training, I learned and was inspired by the many guest speakers. I feel confident in applying to another job now and I thank FOY for all the prep and also for this incredible opportunity for youth. My APM has been amazing and I hope that everyone here will take what they learned and help and inspire others. Thank you FOY!!!! Btw, last week was upsetting becuz of al the goodbyes. I am truly gonna miss camp! I graduated and had to say goodbye. It sux I had to do it all over again this summer! FOY rocks!!!
